Interlibrary Loan: The library may be able to borrow materials for you that we do not own. Call 782-9841.
Additional details:
- You must have a current library card to borrow materials through Interlibrary Loan.
- It may take up to 5 weeks to receive materials. The library cannot guarantee when requested materials will arrive.
- Newly-released books are normally NOT available through Interlibrary Loan. Books must be published at least one year ago before we can borrow them from another library.
- The lending library will specify how long you may keep the borrowed materials. The average loan time is 10-14 days.
- Most materials can be borrowed for FREE. Some universities and many genealogy libraries charge fees. Any fees charged by the lending library must be paid by you. We will notify you if there is a fee prior to ordering, so you can decide if you are willing to pay.
- Due to United States Copyright laws, you may borrow a specific item only once in a calendar year. You can order as many different items as you like, though, from all over the country.
- We are no longer able to borrow Books-on-tape, CDs, DVDs or videos through Interlibrary Loan.
- Be cautious about ordering too many items at one time, as they may all arrive at once! If you want to read books from a series in order, request only one at a time, and when that arrives, request the next book.
- Interlibrary loan materials cannot be renewed.
- If you request a newly-released item that the library does not own, it may be considered for purchase.
