- Students can access articles from World Book Encyclopedia, as well as related articles from major newspapers and magazines. Includes photographs, maps, illustrations, tables, animations, and audio/video clips.

- The "Advanced Search" feature offers more detailed searching options (by interest level, reading level, topic, etc.). Accelerated Reader is utilized by: Carson Valley Middle School, Gardnerville Elementary School, Jacks Valley Elementary School, Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, and Scarselli Elementary School.

- Delivers articles on current events, popular culture, business and industry trends, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more.

- Online practice exams such as ACT, SAT, GED, ASVAB, Postal Worker, Police Officer, Firefighter, Real Estate agent, etc. For home access, you must use your Douglas County Library card number (with no spaces) for your username.
