The goal of the Douglas County Public Library Foundation is to assist the library in its mission to provide the citizens of Douglas County timely and wide-ranging library materials, services and programs. In accomplishing this goal, the Foundation will provide financial assistance to the library by funding programs and capital projects which would otherwise be impossible in these days of municipal budgetary constraints.

You can be a part of this exciting undertaking by contributing to the Foundation by any of the following methods:

  • A donation of cash or appreciated securities.
  • A charitable donation in your will or your living or testamentary trust.
  • The creation of an endowment during your lifetime.

Any of the above methods can result in reducing income taxes, capital gains taxes and estate taxes.

The Foundation has been granted tax-exempt status as a Public Charity under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, therefore contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
